Salcombe Dairy creates a mouth-watering selection of ice creams, sorbets and crushes, with flavours ranging from the rich and decadent Belgian dark chocolate or Madagascan vanilla to refeshing Alphonso mango or passion fruit crush.
Salcombe Dairy was founded in 1981 by Peter Howard when he retired from the Merchant Navy, in a small, stone built shed at the bottom of Coronation Road in Salcombe. The dairy has grown into what it is today - a thriving business producing top quality ice creams, sorbets and crushes from top quality local ingredients: the milk has always come straight from the cow that morning, the cream from the creamery in Mid Devon. The flavours are always natural and of the highest quality.
The Salcombe Dairy is still producing all its ice cream from its premises in Salcombe, and it's sold directly from here and from the shop on Fore Street. Of course you can always find Salcombe Dairy Ice cream at a number of other shops, restaurants, events and from their new, mobile, Salcombe Dairy Tram, which can be found on the Quay in Kingsbridge.
The Dairy has no less than 11 Great Taste Gold Awards for their ice creams and sorbets, including four 3* awards for their Stem Ginger ice cream, Kenyan Coffee ice cream, Alphonso Mango sorbet and Devonshire Cream ice cream.
